Love the Environment, the owner and family are very sweet, the service is also great. Most IMPORTANTLY the food is awesome!
If you went here years ago and were not impressed - give it another try! New owners and the food and service are great. Usually takes 15-20 minutes for a take-out order and we’ve never had any trouble with wrong orders/missing items/etc. Portions are generous and not greasy tex-mex.
The new ownership has turned this restaurant around. Great good and service. Thank from a neighbor. David & Cookie Hargrave
It's been around for almost 35 years! This spot should be on the Travel Channel and Food Network. Nice quaint place to grab a filling authentic Mexican meal. Incredibly fast too.
Great food! Great service! Great prices!
Customer service here puts the Ritz Carlton to shame. Of course they don’t have a ‘full service’ spa like the Ritz, but what they will do is greet you with that full smile cheek to G.D. cheekI swear, my coke never went below 60% filled. They are G.D. vigilant. And this shouldn’t be taken lightly. I drink coke (diet of course) like I’m Samantha on a first dateIf you want to served like you’ve never tasted nachos in your entire life, come to Cafe Acapulco
Very clean place and staff are great! I was going to give a 3 stars because I order fajita and beef was annn ok. The chicken fajitas where good a true 3.5 star. Reason for the 4 stars is the owner stopped at our table asked us how we liked the food and we where honest, he smiled was gracious and asked us to come back and try brisket fajitas or beef again when he had the beef he normally served. So that said we will go back thank you. Ohh bean dip here is good enough to slap your momma over, make sure Try the bean dip!
LOVE THIS PLACE!! We ALWAYS get a table fast. Great service and awesome food!
Excellent food the owner & others that work there rate a A
Great food. Amazing people. Very authentic Salvadorian food. This will be the go to place for me when in Arlington.
Ok. S T A Y A W A Y!!! BLACK MOLD WATER SUPPLY LINES, SMELLS LIKE A BAR/SEWER DRINKING WATER LINES ARE BOTH CRACKED & CROSS WATER CONTAMINATED. And also when you order fajitas as soon as they bring them to your table sizzling they pour soy sauce all over it. Eeww!! I'm talking about tasting like having a bucket of s*** your mouth. The CHIPS are cooked in old grease & the very tasteless, generic the cheese was not real like the imitation corn tortillas. Nothing good here I can see it all. The only reason I gave it one star was to activate my review.
LOVE THIS PLACE! Everything my husband and I have had is delicious, great prices and great service. The owner is really great and makes a fantastic strawberry margarita! A 1 of a kind place that I hope stays open forever. Highly recommended!
Service was good. Food not so great. It is run down The booth we sat in was torn and tattered.
Love the beef enchiladas with chili. The new owner is very kind and great customer service. They have a lot of drink selections.
They have really good fajitas and good customer service
Ordered pick up tonight and OMG so delicious.
We ate there for the first time this weekend. It was absolutely the best Mexican food we have ever eaten. The chips and salsa were delicious, one of the best things about it is that it had not been salted to the point where you can barely eat it like most Mexican restaurants. They serve a black bean dip with the salsa that was to die for. We had the guacamole salad as an appetizer it was awesome. For our entrée we had the fiesta plate it was delicious. The staff was very friendly and the place is spotlessly clean. It will be the only place I eat from now on when I want good Mexican food .
Good was great and our waitress was even better. First time customer but will be returning for sure.
Food good.Staff great.Ambiance relaxed.
Wonderful food & excellent service.
Our favorite restaurant! The staff and owner are so friendly, and the food is delicious and at a great price. The drinks are awesome and it’s almost always happy hour. The meat is so flavorful and tender. Some of our favorite dishes are: beef street tacos, fajitachanga, and chile rellenos.
Food was good, flavorful and plenty. But the wait time to get our drinks and order put in combined with the long black hair we found in our food overshadowed the taste of food.
Amazing food great atmosphere and very reasonable prices
One of my favorite places to go to! Great family run business with great food! Mitchel makes the best drinks and absolute pro and very sociable guy. I will definitely be back and suggest everyone else come and try it!
Great food. Great prices. Exceptional time.
This place is a hidden jewel. I'm so happy to find this place. From California to Texas I've missed the authentic taste of Mexican food and Salvadoran, and this place has both. Services is great and prices are good!
Value to quality very good. Service could have been a little better. Had to request refills of bean dip and beverages.
Great family owned local restaurant. Food is spot on. Atmosphere awesome!
Food was absolutely amazing and authentic. Great customer service. Definitely recommend.
Hadn’t been there in YEARS but heard they were under new management from previous owners- DELICIOUS! I tried the pupusas as I had never had them before - SO GOOD. Next time I tried Mitchell’s plate - the sour cream chicken enchilada was one of best I’ve tried! Went back on a Friday to meet friends - margaritas were quite tasty. I’ll definitely be going back - soon!
Went there today with a friend of mine. Absolutely wonderful!!! The food was excellent and the restaurant itself was so clean and decorated just perfect. It is a nice place to go with a friend who lives here or an out of town friend. The service was wonderful. Unfortunately I accidentally got rid of my receipt and she had written her name on it. But she was there at noon today so it would be very easy to figure out who she is. Very upset I didn't keep my receipt but she was so friendly and so attentive. You just have to try this restaurant - I think you think you will love it all around.
Here visiting with Jose and Jared along with this take your breath away delicious dining for my darling Debra and me, is easily.... As Good As It Gets.
Food is really good. Great drink specials.
I don't know what all these people ate that are raving about the food. My second visit was as bad as the last time. The "crispy" tacos were hard and stale; the Charro beans had about 5 beans in the bowl along with a zillion little pieces of bacon fat. The refried beans on my partner's plate looked like grey pudding. I scraped out the contents of the taco shells and ate that which was typical of any restaurant. We were two of maybe only one other customer....and this was lunchtime. Perhaps if I had just simply ordered fajitas (with no bean pudding & tasteless rice) it would be something to rave about. So sorry, Acapulco.
Wonderful food not greasy tex-mex
The waiters were very nice so patient with me (I stutter). Food and service was beyond amazing first time visiting and im going to be a regular customer. My boyfriend loves there enchiladas
Friendly service , good margaritas but the food was awful, shrimp and fish tasted bad.
Service Friendly and food is great. Drinks are strong and happy hour is affordable.
We ordered the Viva Alfaro (beef, chicken, shrimp fajitas) for 4. There was a ton of food. We all ate and had left over for only $40. We ordered to go and the food was ready on time and the staff was very friendly. While there I noticed the practices that the restaurant is taking to keep people safe from the pandemic. The waiter has a face shield, the tables were spaced apart. They even made sure to seat people as far away as possible (since they were busy at the time).
Jose, from San Salvador, bought this long-established restaurant about 3 yrs ago and while keeping much of the excellent menu in place, he made it Much Better and added a few wonderful San Salvadorian dishes. Prices are family moderate. Staff and Jose go out of their way to make sure your experienced is great, the food is superb and you keep coming back.
PapusasOrder them when you get there. They are 2.25 for one and take a while to make.My wife and I had a lunch there today - the waitress was absolutely wonderful. Great smile, awesome attitude, and truly made our experience memorable. My favorite menu item is the El Salvadorian Papusas. It reminds me of a cornbread pancake filled with pork and cheese. It's served with a cabbage something and a sauce. Add all three together and... it... is... awesome!!!On a warm Texas day - their patio offers a cool breeze with relaxed chairs to enjoy your venue.Seriously, every staff member I encountered were just so incredibly nice. I think I even met the owner :) This place has been under new management for some time now - and well, it shows. To Cafe Acapulco - Thank you. We will be returning soon.
We had a great time here! Delicious food and good margaritas for a good price. My only complaint would have to be the refried beans. They need a new recipe.
Really enjoyed the food here. A friend is a regular and introduced me to it. Great service too.
Love this place!!! Every time we go to Arlington we try to stop by. The food is so unique and extremely tasty! I have always had good service and the owner and staff are quite nice. I highly recommend this place!
Food was great and the service was good. Reasonable price
Great restaurant good food and staff is very friendly several menu items. Hands down one of the best local Mexican restaurants
New owners and staff are fantastic. We come here at least twice a month and are always impressed. The food is good and the staff is so friendly. We have never had a bad experience.
This by far is our favorite place to eat, the family owned atmosphere makes us feel at home every time we come in. It’s place that when you walk in they really do know your name and your family. It is nothing for us to come in and if it’s a slow night, Carissa or Jared will sit down and chat. We love the food, we have never had something we didn’t like, this is the only place I will try something new and I am never disappointed. If you want to relax and feel at home this is the place!
Absolutely wonderful food and service. The manager waited on us cuz they were so busy. This place been around for 20 plus years and can't believe this was my first time. Definitely wont be my last.
Service was excellent and the cheese enchiladas were amazing!! Definitely will come back next time. :)
